Case Study – Burnley College Industry Hub
This exciting new Industry Hub was developed as part of Burnley College’s continued investment in its North Campus. The aim was to create a modern environment that promotes learning, collaboration, and wellbeing. We were proud to once again collaborate with John Turner Construction, delivering a complete single-ply roofing package. Working closely with Sika, we installed a mechanically fixed Sikaplan G roofing system designed for long-term performance and resilience.
The installation began with the S-Vap 500 E air and vapour control layer, next the team installed Sikatherm® PIR AL insulation, a high-performance rigid PIR board with a U-value of 0.10 W/m²K. To complete the roof build-up, a Sikaplan G-18 light-grey waterproofing membrane was installed. All detailing was carried out in accordance with Sika’s standard technical specifications, ensuring a seamless and watertight finish.
The work was created to a high standard, achieving a 25-year guarantee, and outstanding performance characteristics.

Completed Project – Castle Farm
Castle Farm is now complete and looks fantastic. Incorporating a Sedum Green roof on one elevation and a Sikaplan single ply system with a standing seam profile on the other, this really complimented the agricultural surroundings and countryside location.
It was a pleasure to work with Robinson Construction and Sika to deliver such an aesthetically pleasing roof.
