Our role in the project:
We will be installing the new single ply roofing system at Whiston Hospital in Prescot.
The first stage of the installation will involve laying the Vapour Control Layer (VCL). For this project, we will be installing the Sarnavap 5000E self-adhesive membrane. This is specifically designed with durability, longevity, and quality in mind, which is why it is one of the leading options for VCLs across the UK. The Sarnavap 5000E boasts one of the highest levels of water resistance and can protect any property from damage caused by condensation and roof moisture.
On top of the vapour control layer, the insulation layer will be installed. For this project, Sikatherm PIR GT Insulation is what we will be installing. These are insulation boards that are glass tissue faced to maximize the thermal efficiency and reduce thermal conductivity further. The glass tissue is fully bonded to the insulation core for a solid, robust, and durable insulation option.
To complete the roofing installation, we will install the Sika Sarnafil G410-15EL membrane. This single ply roof membrane is designed to withstand direct UV exposure for decades with the unique lacquer coating applied to the top of the membrane providing additional UV and weather protection. The membrane itself is made from multiple layers and provides durable, robust, fully weatherproof protection that will complete the fully adhered warm roofing system.
