Case Study – St Ann’s Hospice
We’re delighted to announce the completion of our roofing package at St Ann’s Hospice, Cheadle, delivered in partnership with Caddick Construction as part of the development of the charity’s new purpose-built hospice. The new facility provides a modern 27-bedroom inpatient unit alongside outpatient services, family accommodation and community spaces, creating a welcoming environment for patients and their loved ones.
We completed roofing installations across approximately 3,700m², using the Sikaplan® G 1.8mm mechanically fixed single-ply roofing system with Sarnatherm tapered PIR insulation. The full warm roof build-up incorporated a Sika S-Vap 500 E air and vapour control layer, tapered insulation designed to achieve a U-value of 0.15 W/m²K, and a high-performance PVC waterproofing membrane, all backed by a 20-year Sika Roofing Performance Guarantee.
All detailing to upstands, penetrations, perimeters and access routes was completed in accordance with Sika’s technical standards, ensuring a durable, watertight finish across all roof areas.
Case Study Lancaster University Management School
We’re delighted to announce the completion of our roofing package at Lancaster University Management School, delivered in partnership with Conlon Construction as part of the wider East Estate Redevelopment. This project transformed existing facilities into a modern learning environment, including upgraded teaching spaces, new social areas, and a link corridor connecting to the West Pavilion.
We completed roofing installations across approximately 500m², using the Alumasc Derbigum built-up felt system alongside Bauder extensive green roof systems. The main roof areas incorporated a full warm roof build-up with Derbicoat Alu AVCL, tapered PIR insulation, and a high-performance multi-layer felt waterproofing system, all backed by a 20-year guarantee. Green roof areas, including the link corridor and canopy, were completed using the BauderGREEN XF 301 sedum blanket system, delivering a sustainable and visually appealing finish.
All detailing to upstands, penetrations, and perimeters was carefully executed to ensure a durable, watertight result.
