We are delighted to be working on the development of new affordable housing in Chorley Street, Bolton, as part of the latest housing project for our valued client Watson Homes.

Our role in the project:

As part of this project we will be providing high quality single ply roofing for the 118 affordable homes. Using our extensive roofing expertise here at Enviroply Roofing, we will be applying a Saranfast roofing system. This is a single ply roof system that is created by mechanically fixing the membrane within the seam overlap, and is also known as an “in seam” attachment system. The advantages of this are the high performance and uplift resistance, as well as the faster installation process.

 

Project overview:

This housing project will create 118 affordable homes on Chorley Street, next to Queen’s Park, in Bolton. This will include 17 two, three, and four-bed homes for shared ownership, with the remainder of the homes being apartments. These will be split across three blocks ranging from five to six storeys.
This housing project is aiming to provide a useful housing option for the whole community. One of the blocks will include 25 units for the over-50s while another has 36 for affordable rent. A further 40 apartments within the largest block are intended for rent-to-buy tenants.
Car parking spaces will also be provided as part of this project, with 62 car parking spaces provided for the apartments along with 31 for the houses.
