Case Study Shevington Extra Care
Secured Project Embassy Village
We’re thrilled to be a part of this fantastic initiative to assist with homelessness in Manchester.
Embassy Village will provide accommodation & recreational facilities for up to 40 people and staff.
Working in partnership with Vermont Construction and Sika, we’re looking forward to commencing on site within the next few days and seeing this exciting project come together.
Case Study Shevington Extra Care
The former Shevington Community Primary School was demolished to make way for the new Shevington Extra Care development, featuring 32 self-contained apartments along with shared communal facilities.
We installed 5 roofing systems, as well as a canopy roof. Each had different requirements and specifications to ensure the best possible results. The total combined roof size was 1,457m2, with the largest of these being 1,013m2.
Beginning the installation with the AVCL for roof systems A to C, we used the Sarnavap500e, for Roof D and E we installed a felt VCL.
We continued the roofing build ups with the insulation layer. For roofs A to D we installed Sarnatherm tapered insulation boards, for roof E, we installed Sarnatherm flat insulation.
Finally, we completed each of the roofing systems with the installation of the Sikaplan single ply membrane in the light grey colour.
The work was completed to a high standard, with the 20-year guarantee achieved, and all parties involved happy with outcome.
